About Me

Hello and thank you for taking the time to find out more about me.  I am a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a Registered Counsellor with over fourteen years of experience. I split my work between the NHS, my private practice in Hale and Counselling for public sector employees.

My approach

I have been told my style of counselling offers warmth and respect, in a safe place where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without a sense of being judged.

I am committed to offering everyone I see a warm, positive and productive experience. I use mainly a Person-Centred approach. During our time together, I’ll try to understand your world, life experiences, relationships and difficulties.

It takes two

Counselling is collaborative, and at its heart there should be a good relationship between us.

If you have experienced quality counselling, you might have experienced a high level of empathy and connection to your therapist. That’s what I aim for and will build an honest and authentic relationship. By the end, you should feel supported yet also stretched and challenged so you can make progress.

It is my aim to help every client to find more fulfilment, contentment and peace in their lives. Counselling is not a magic wand, but I have been privileged to watch many clients significantly benefit from counselling sessions after a variety of personal difficulties.
