Actor Jon Hamm has been confronting his issues head on. In an interview last week he explained how he came to accept his mental health struggles. In the article John reflects on his childhood, losing loved ones and he was taught to keep things to himself. Once he accepted there was a problem, he sought help. On therapy, he said, "It gives you another perspective on something that you can't quite figure out. And she [his therapist] was able to really reorient my kind of way of thinking and she put me on a medication that changed my brain chemistry enough to where, 'OK, I'm feeling a little better. I can get up and go to work, I can get up and go to school. I can do my work on time. I can self-motivate again.' Sometimes that's what you need."
